The length of time you can keep a borrowed book depends on your user category, the type of library material, and the KNUST Library’s current borrowing policy. Different users, such as undergraduate students, postgraduate students, faculty members, researchers, and other registered users, may have different loan periods.
When you borrow a book, the due date is recorded in your ulms library account and should be observed to avoid overdue charges or borrowing restrictions. Some materials may have shorter loan periods because they are in high demand or are required by many users.
Certain resources, such as reference books, rare or special collections, journals, and other restricted materials, may not be available for normal borrowing and may need to be used within the library.
If the item is eligible for renewal, you may be able to renew it before the due date, provided that another library user has not reserved it and your account is in good standing.
